We are looking for a technically-minded developer, capable of understanding and extending our existing infrastructure. Our current ecosystem includes various tools and services such as workflow management systems, message brokers, data warehouse, and infrastructure-as-code tools. Additionally, we need help with improving our data management processes. Mainly, it`s adapting, refactoring ETL for company growth, another parts are performance and data governance. We expect you to have sufficient experience to keep pace with the team in these activities. This role is a great fit if you have a deep understanding of specific areas within data engineering or the confidence to manage the full scope of requirements listed below.
🛠 What You’ll Get Your Hands On:
- Integrating new sources using existing batch ETL system
- Creating new realtime pipelines using infrastructure as a code approach
- Support teams of getting data from warehouse to their systems, work on Reverse ETL processes
- Take part in data management process improvement, give feedback about process changes and propose new solutions
- Automate processes and do pipelines perfomance optimizations
- Help with ETL systems migrations for ensuring consistent, perfomant and scalable design
🧙♂️ The Magic You Bring
- Strong programming skills, i.e. experience several programming languages or Python frameworks
- Software design skills - software patterns, application design
- Data system design or cloud systems experience (AWS, GCP, message brokers, object storages, query engines)
- Strong SQL skills, ability to apply subqueries, window functions, CTEs
- Warehouse design or ETL systems design experience
- PySpark or another distributed systems knowledge, i.e. distributed computing, perfomance optimizations
- Experience or ability to use infrastructure as a code, i.e. AWS Cloud Formation
- Experience or ability to use Databricks platform
